※Applying for a job (Western style):
When you apply for a job, you will most likely encounter the following three documents
1. cover letter
2. statement in response to selection criteria
3. C.V. (resume)
Tips:
1。Use dot points.
2。Copy the selection criteria and demonstrate your stengths
1。Keep a track record/ portfolio/ work diary
2。ALWAYS get a reference
Rule of thumb: Never be rude to people on the way up, because you might meet them on the way down.
※During an interview:
1。Be self-aware
2。 Have questions prepared. Give the impression that you have alternatives. Hence, the best question to ask is: When do you think you will be making a decision? The interviewers will answer and ask why. You will reply: I really want this job (the one you are interviewing for). However, I was fortunate enough to be admitted to this other company, and I have to give them a response by a certain date... I don't want to cause them trouble...
※For women who want to pursue a job that allows them to travel to many places often... GET A PORTABLE HUSBAND!
The most successful example I've (Pokarier) ever seen is the match of a chef husband and a career woman. Some good choices are chefs, doctors, and designers (including engineers...).
I will need a portable husband :D
